Google Search updated to version 2.5 on iOS. (Both for iPhone and iPad). I have tried using and it works way better than Siri :-). I know it's hard to say but you have to accept certain things.

The new home screen didn't change much though. However the Voice feature has updated so much. Now you can ask Google Search Voice for things like below:
